For those first time users of our service, we at Wheels On Wheels would like to thank you for choosing us to help you with your bike transport needs.  We will do our best possible to make your travels to and from the event more enjoyable.  The following details will help you with your plans to make your trip to this years Ironman more enjoyable with less stress.

You'll have several different options for getting your bikes to us for transport.  You can either drop your bike off to us at our location (listed below), or drop it off at one of our partnering bike shop locations.  Click here location nearest you.  Many of you also ask about taking gear bags?  At no extra cost, we will take your gear bag for you, the only restriction is that it has to be able to fit in a 12 Gallon clear plastic storage bin so we can stack them better.  If you don't have a plastic storage bin, please let us know and we can provide one for you for an additional $10.00.

Additional Information that you'll need to know;

Pick up dates and times:
 For Vineman 70.3 Triathlon, we'll be making our rounds to pick up bikes on Tuesday, July 15th. Please make sure you have your bike at the location of your choice before these dates and times listed below.  If you'd like to have your shop tune up the bike in advance, please make sure to give them ample time to do so.

 

  • If you're dropping your bike off at Wheels On Wheels, please have it there no later than Monday, July 14th. We are normally closed on Monday, but will be open from Noon til 5:00PM for you to drop off your bike. We offer a special discount of $50.00 (regular price, $75.00) for our complete bike wash and tune up service, or $100.00 to wash and tune up your bike before and after the race. How nice would that be that when you pick up your bike after your race it's not all sticky? If you'd like us to tune it up for you, please have your bike to us no later than Saturday, July 12th
  • Edge Cycle Sports Tuesday, July 16th, we will pick up between Noon-1:00PM again, if you'd like to have them tune up your bike before, please give them a call and make an appointment.
  • Helen's Santa Monica, Tuesday, July 16th, we will pick up between 2:00-3:00PM
  • All bikes will be dropped off back to your shop on Monday, July 21st.

    • Additional Instructions:

    Vineman is unique in that you have two different Transitions, Wheels On Wheels makes this easy for you.  Having been there several times before, we will be at T1 first thing in the morning just outside of the Transition area.  However, and this is important, if you choose to have us take your bike to T1 race morning, you must pick it up NO LATER than 6:45AM.  It is imperative that we leave T1 so that we can get off the race route before the race begins, and down to T2/Finish Line area.  After the race, we'll be at the High School near the finish so all you'll have to do is get your bike to us.

    Time and place to pick up your bike:

    Thursday, you can pick your bike up from where we're staying, just give us a call 619-985-1076
    Friday, we will be at the race site expo from 1:00PM to 6:00PM, click on the picture for a diagram.
    Saturday, we will be in the same place from 10:00am to 7:00PM.
